Coldwater, Mich. (05 May 2023) - The CBPU has been notified by Republic Services that, due to construction on US-12, the CBPU's Garbage & Recycling Services will be picked up early, now until MDOT's construction is complete. This means that residents should be mindful of the following schedule changes:

  • Garbage & Recycling customers should have their garbage and recycling out and ready for pick up the night before. Republic Services will pick up your waste EARLY MORNING, before construction starts, on your regularly scheduled day. The CBPU recommends that you put your recycling out the night before.
    • Starting next week, on Thursday, May 11th, in the construction area, they are asking for everyone to put their garbage out the night before.  They will start pick-up at 6:30 am.
  • Large Item Pick-Up will still be picked up on Friday. Please call the CBPU at (517) 279-9531 by Thursday at 3:00 PM to schedule your large item pick-up.

If you have any questions about these schedule changes, please call Republic Services at (888) 249-5112. Learn more about Garbage, Recycling, & Large Item Pick-Up through the CBPU HERE
