Initial Design Concepts for Four Corners Park Revealed

Public Input Sought Through December 31, 2011

You Spoke, We Listened

The City of Coldwater and the DDA have partnered with Michigan State University for assistance in developing ideas for the redesign of the Four Corners Park area.

Through the Small Town Design Initiative (STDI) community, members have been working with graduate students from MSU’s Planning and Landscape Architecture Department to create design concepts for the beautification and revitalization of the park area.

A community input meeting was held in July 2011 which resulted in four preliminary design concepts.

Now It's Your Turn To Speak Again

Until December 31, 2011 the community is encouraged to take a look at each of the design concepts and provide their thoughts and comments about what they LOVE and DON'T LOVE about the designs.  This information will be used by the students to further develop the design concepts.  All comments should be directed to Christine Bowman, DDA Director at (517) 279-6902, via email at cbowman@coldwater.org, or in writing to her attention at City Hall.

At a follow-up meeting in January 2012 the feedback collected will be discussed and final thoughts and observations from community members will be welcomed. The final design concepts will then be revealed at a meeting in early spring 2012.

A hard copy of the preliminary design concepts may be viewed at City Hall, One Grand Street, during normal business hours.  If you belong to a service club, non-profit organization, or educational institution that has an interest in the future of Four Corners Park, a copy of the complete presentation is available for you to share with your membership by contacting the DDA office (517) 279-6902.
