[ARCHIVED] Budd Accepts New Position With CBPU

Coldwater, Michigan. October 18, 2017 – The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities announced at their October 17, 2017 Board meeting that the current Assistant Utility Director, Jeff Budd will be replacing Paul Beckhusen as the CBPU Utility Director. Budd has worked for the City of Coldwater for the past 18 years starting out as the Finance Director & Treasurer in 1999.


In 2010, Budd was promoted to City Manager where he was influential in various memorable accomplishments for the City including the construction of the Dr. Robert W. Browne Aquatic and Recreation Centers, the reconstruction of the Upson and Tibbits Parking Lots, and the construction of the new Coldwater Tennis Complex.


In 2016, Budd made the decision to step down from the City Manager position in order to focus on the utility side of the business and step in as the Assistant Director of the CBPU. Budd said, “This position will present challenges and opportunities that align my interest in the utility industry, and expand my professional career opportunities.”


Jeff has lived in Coldwater for 26 years with his wife Rhonda and their two children, Ella and Gavin. Budd brings an extensive knowledge and expertise of the City of Coldwater and the utility industry, as well as his involvement in the Coldwater community and looks forward to serving his community as the CBPU Director.
