[ARCHIVED] US-12 Closed Starting July 12th

Construction Update

The City of Coldwater would like to remind citizens that US-12 will be closed starting Monday, July 12th, and is expected to last until Monday, July 19th. The City was informed by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) that US-12 will be closed in order to complete necessary sanitary sewer repairs before resurfacing the road. US-12 will be closed to through traffic, but residents and locals will be able to navigate around downtown and to the west using adjacent side streets. Locals will be able to use West Pearl Street south of US-12 and Hatch, Henry, and Harrison streets to navigate around construction on the north side. Drivers will not be able to get past the intersection of US-12 and Jay Street in either direction.

Upon completion of the sanitary sewer repairs, construction will continue on US-12 and is estimated to end by September 10th, 2021. The City of Coldwater would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our residents and would like to thank them for their continued patience throughout the duration of these projects.
