Here is a great place to start learning how to make sure your vote is counted this November 3rd.

As always, federal elections in the City of Coldwater are administered by the City Clerk Office. All in-person voting will occur at the Dearth Community Center, 235 East Garfield Avenue, on November 3rd. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

As the Election is fast approaching, using the City's locked and secure drop box is the most reliable option for returning your ballot. Available 24/7, the drop box is located at the Monroe Street entrance of the Henry L. Brown Municipal Building (City Hall), One Grand Street. There is another drop box located inside City Hall next to Reception.

Here are some additional things to know about voting in the upcoming election:

  • Track your application and ballot status at mi.gov/vote. This site will show if and when we have received your application or ballot or when we mailed those to you.
  • Absentee applications can be submitted until October 30th by mail or until November 2nd, in person. Still, we recommend doing this as early as possible to allow you to complete the process in time to have your ballot counted.
  • To be counted, all Absentee Ballots must arrive by 8 p.m. on Election Day November 3, 2020.
  • Voters who are temporarily staying somewhere other than their residence can indicate where they would like their ballot to be mailed. 
  • The post office cannot forward ballots, so you will need to communicate with us on where to send your ballot.
