Coldwater, Michigan. May 11, 2020 – The City of Coldwater is excited to partner with the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) to award home maintenance and improvement grants to eligible home-owners in the Irwin Park Neighborhood. Homes in the Irwin Park Neighborhood are within the defined boundaries of Seeley St., Smith St. Central Park Dr., and Thompson Blvd.
Qualified residents whose income are 120% or less than the Area Median Income and who own and permanently reside in their homes can apply for grants of up to $7,499. Funds must be used for painting, new siding, roofs, soffits, gutters, doors, windows, and front porch improvements that are visible from the public streets. The home improvement projects will need to be completed before December 15th, 2020 in order to be eligible for the grant.
