The American Public Power Association recently honored 143 public power utilities with a "certificate of excellence" for reliable performance. The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities (CBPU) has been recognized by the Association due to the recording keeping of their reliability data. The CBPU's power data is stored via the Association's web-based subscription service. This service lets public power utilities collect, categorize, and summarize their outage information. Throughout the year the CBPU runs various reports regarding outages and infrastructure updates to allow for preventative maintenance. The CBPU is one of six public power utilities located in the state of Michigan to receive this high honor. For more information on the CBPU's reliability or Reliable Public Power Provider designation see HERE.
