CBPU To Celebrate Public Power Week

Public Power Week

Public power utilities, like the CBPU, supply homes and businesses with electricity in more than 2,000 communities, ranging from small towns to large cities across the United States. Public power utilities provide reliable, low-cost electricity to more than 49 million Americans, are stewards of the environment, and continually strive to meet the needs of their communities. Supporting local commerce, jobs, and investing back into the local community is synonymous among public power providers across the country. From the lights that illuminate the Friday night football game to the life-saving machines in our local hospitals, public power utilities like the CBPU are committed to their community and proud to serve you.

To recognize the benefits of being a public power community, the CBPU invites their customers to celebrate with them throughout the week. There will be free giveaways, LED light bulbs and other energy efficiency items, and a chance to win Nest Thermostat prizes.

"We aim to give our customers, many of whom are also our friends and neighbors, the best service while also providing them with affordable, reliable, and efficient utilities," said Director Jeff Budd. "As a way of showing our appreciation, we welcome you to stop by and celebrate with us."
