Recently the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities was able to connect with the Branch Area Career Center’s Electrical & Automation Engineering Program after hearing of the need for phase meter sockets. Receiving new phase meter sockets will allow the BACC program to update training stations to ensure students have access to the best available technology.
The CBPU Electrical Department was able to donate 3 phase meter sockets to the BACC program earlier this month. A majority of the employees that currently work in the CBPU Electric Department have been educated and trained through the BACC’s Electrical & Automation Engineering program. “This was a great opportunity to give back to the Career Center training team that has given us so much already,” said John Springhall, Electric Service Superintendent.
The phase meter socket donation will allow the BACC Electrical & Automation Engineering Program to continue educating students and support the growth of future electricians, linemen, and engineers.
