Now is your chance to be featured! When you submit your photos, you have an opportunity to be featured in the City's calendar and other marketing material! Selected photos will be chosen based on their creativity, quality, and how well they represent the City. This is a great opportunity to increase your recognition in the community, so don't wait to #CaptureColdwater!

If our photo is selected to be highlighted, can you tag us in the social media post?

  • At this point in time, we can not tag you in our social media. This is because not all people who submit photos have an account on all of our social media platforms. We want to ensure that photo submission highlights remain fair and open to everyone, so only the name of the photograph and the photographer will be included. However, you are welcome to comment on the photo (on the social media platforms of your choosing) once it has been published.

Is there a deadline?

  • Photo submissions are accepted on a rolling basis. However, if you would like your photos to be considered for the 2025 City Calendar, then you should submit your photos no later than Monday, Oct. 21, 2024.

Where might I see my photo being used?

  • Submissions are reviewed by our Community Engagement Department and used for marketing material, including, but not limited to, social media, printed advertisements, website promotion, the city calendar, and more!

How will I know if my photo is used?

  •  The Community Engagement Department tries to notify people that their image is being used for social media one day in advance. However, this is not always possible. People are encouraged to stay up-to-date with the City of Coldwater to keep a lookout for if your photo is used! 


Photo Submissions for the City of Coldwater

  1. What We're Looking For

    Do you take pictures around the City of Coldwater in your free time? Send them in and it may be featured in the City's marketing material, on social media, and or in the City Calendar! Winning photos will be chosen based on their creativity, quality, and how well they represent the City.

  2. Requirments

    A MAXIMUM OF TEN (10) PHOTOS WILL BE ACCEPTED PER ENTRANT PER YEAR. Entrants must be 18 years or older or have a parent or guardian's permission to participate. Photos should be no more than two years old and must be original works of City or CBPU assets, events, or sponsored activities. This includes, but is not limited to, all City and CBPU buildings, City and CBPU vehicles, Strawberry Fest, Apple Fest, and Winterfest. Photos including people should be taken with the permission of the subject. A photo release form is required for photos featuring children under the age of 18.   3. Each image must be high-resolution images up to 100 megabytes (MB) in size and saved as a JPEG. Photos must be high resolution and print quality. Professionally-produced and/or copyrighted photos (such as senior pictures, family portraits, etc.) will not be accepted. Digitally-altered photos or photos that include copyrighted material as part of the image will not be considered. All submitted photos' file names should match the title of the photo submitted on the form. By submitting photos, each participant agrees that the City of Coldwater may publish his or her photograph in the City of Coldwater Calendar as well as exhibit, copy, publish, make derivative works from, or otherwise use his or her entry photograph and other entry materials for any purpose, in any media, in perpetuity, without limitation or compensation. Entrants will only be given photo credit for any photos used by the City or the CBPU on social media or the City Calendar.

  4. Photos that fail to meet the above requirements will be automatically disqualified. The City and the CBPU reserves the right to select, or not select, any submitted photo for any reason. Submission of photo entry does not guarantee use.

    This is how you will be notified that you are featured. If no option is selected, then email will be used as a default.
