In the winter once the weather is cold and the ice is solid, the skate pond at Waterworks Park is ready for action! If you would like to borrow skates or equipment a staff member should be available during hours of operation to man the pond, scrape snow, and hand out the free loaner skates.
Donations of ice skates are always welcome! Donations can be dropped off to the Coldwater Recreation Department located at 1776 Heritage Dr. in Coldwater.
Whats the Cost?
None! Use of the skate pond and equipment is completely free. If you don't have your own ice skates no need to worry, we can loan you those too. Just step into the warming hut and ask if a staff member is present.
Monday - Friday : 3-8pm
Saturday & Sunday : 12-8pm
** These hours are contingent based on weather and ice thickness. The pond will be closed if the ice is ruled unsafe to step on. Any questions can be directed to the Coldwater Recreation Department at 517-278-8566.
The Coldwater skate pond is located on the corner of S. Sprague Street & Sauk River Drive. Directly across from the CBPU Service Building at 180 N. Waterworks Drive.
