The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities wants to help you optimize your residential or commercial energy use. Whether you are a residential customer, or a business customer, you can utilize a CBPU rebate program.
The CBPU offers residential rebates on eligible purchases in the following categories: Appliances, Lighting, Heating & Cooling, and Pool Pumps.
However, make sure to check the specifications listed in the Residential Rebate application below and/or speak with a CBPU advisor by calling (517) 279-9531 to make sure your project is eligible for CBPU incentives. All equipment must be new and installed or operated in a residential dwelling, whose electric service is provided by the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities.
The CBPU offers commercial and industrial rebates on commercial and industrial lighting because lighting accounts for over 30% of electric utility billing each year for most businesses. Using our energy rebate programs to upgrade to efficient lighting will help reduce your energy usage, which will in turn drastically reduce your bottom line.
No matter what size your business is, make the initial investment to reduce your ongoing energy use and significantly save year after year.
Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency (DSIRE)
Make sure you're finding all the incentives and rebates offered in your state with DSIRE - A comprehensive source of information on state, local, utility and federal incentives and policies that promote renewable energy and energy efficiency. Established in 1995 and funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, DSIRE is an ongoing project of the NC. Solar Center and the Interstate Renewable Energy Council.
Chances are that second refrigerator or older freezer in your basement is running up your electric bill by about $150 a year. Recycling it and you can reduce your energy usage while keeping harmful materials out of landfills. We’ll pick it up for free, and you’ll receive a cash rebate!
Appliances must be in working condition. Refrigerators and stand-alone freezers must be between 10-30 cubic feet using inside measurements. A member of Michigan Energy Options will come by to claim the unit. A maximum of four units annually (two large and two small) are available for pickup if you are a CBPU electric customer. A minimum of one refrigerator or stand-alone freezer is required per scheduled pick-up.
